How to Install Clear Fixed Mount Shutter Brackets

Step 1: Position The Shutter
Begin by placing the shutter next to the window opening. To ensure the shutter is straight, use a level and with your pencil, draw a line along the sides and bottom edges of the shutter. These marks will indicate where the brackets are to be installed. Be sure to mark the center of each bracket as well.
Step 2: Position The Brackets
Then, center the bottom bracket on the wall along the marked line from Step 1. From there, mark the bracket hole locations on the wall, then repeat the same process with the side bracket locations.
Step 3: Mount The Brackets
After, pre drill holes marked in Step 2 then mount the lower bracket to the wall using the provided #10 x 2” screws and general-purpose anchors. Repeat the same process with the side brackets.
Step 4: Mark Holes On Shutter
Now that all brackets are installed, place the shutter inside the installed brackets. Then, mark hole locations for the bottom and side brackets on the shutter. Afterward, remove the shutter.
Step 5: Drill Shutter Holes
With the shutter removed from the brackets, pre drill holes for the brackets on the bottom and sides of the shutter where the marks were recorded in Step 4.
Step 6: Install Shutter
Finally, place the shutter inside the installed brackets. Drill the screws into the holes of the brackets into the sides of the shutter. Repeat Steps 1-6 for the opposite shutter.
